Types of Papers
Full papers
Expected to be no more than 8 pages in length, including references. They should describe deeper and more mature research results. Abstract submission is required
Invitation to Special Issues
  • Outstanding full papers presented at i3CE 2026 will be invited to submit substantially extended versions to the ASCE Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering (JCCE). Two dedicated Special Issues will feature these selected contributions:
Special Issue 1: Artificial Intelligence for Resilient and Sustainable Civil Infrastructure Systems
Special Issue 2: Advanced Computing Technologies for Integrated, Intelligent, and Interoperable Civil Infrastructure
  • Authors of invited papers will be required to add significant new content (e.g., extended methodology, results, or validations) in accordance with JCCE standards. All manuscripts will undergo the journal’s rigorous double-blind peer review process.
Short papers
Expected to be 4 pages in length, including references. They can describe nascent and/or preliminary research in a new direction.
Please note
  • Only papers with an individual full registration will be published and presented at the conference. Accepted papers without their own registration will not be considered for inclusion.
  • The conference proceedings will be published by the ASCE Publications Division and hosted on the ASCE Library. All papers, both full and short papers, will be assigned DOIs and ISBNs, and bibliographic information will be submitted to major abstracting and indexing services.
Formatting Guidelines
To be considered for review, each paper must follow the formatting guidelines set forth by the ASCE. For your convenience, a Microsoft Word template is available.
